The Milford Branch of the Boston and Albany Railroad was built in 1847, and ran 12 miles between Framingham (where the B&A mainline was located) and the town of Milford. Two segments of the line were abandoned at different times; the end of the line was abandoned under Penn Central ownership, and the middle portion of the line under Conrail. The remainder of the line remains under CSX but is out of service.
